Vitamin E and skincare
Vitamin C
As an antioxidant, vitamin E fights free radicals and, because it prevents fat compounds from oxidizing, protects cell membranes and other lipid-containing tissues. This is important for retarding cellular aging.
It boosts the immune system, protects against a variety of cancers, greatly reduces the risk of heart attacks, and prevents cataracts.
The risk and progression of Alzheimer's disease are decreased by vitamin E. Also, it helps alleviate leg cramps and charley horse.
Good sources of vitamin E are wheat germ, soybeans, vegetable oils, nuts, eggs and several vegetables, such as spinach, lettuce, and Brussels sprouts.
Vitamin E is widely available as a supplement.
